In the 11th hour, I had my travel request approved, and once again I'm lucky enough to be sent to the 'sphere of 'spheres (other than THIS 'sphere of course): The IBM prime collaboration event of the year: Lotusphere 2009.
I'm thrilled. Not just because I get to go again, but because I have a feeling, that this 'sphere will be up there with the very best of them.
Notes/Domino 8.5 is knocking on the door and should be released in time, with so many new and interesting element that I just don't know where to begin.
Sure - if you are already on Notes/Domino 8.0.2, you have already experienced a lot of these new features, but if you're still on 7 - or even 6.5 - this is just a massive shift in technologies, of course still with full support for all the applications you have already developed and implemented.

Traveler for mobile platforms, "Atlantic" for SAP integration, Domino Web Access Lite & Ultralite (for the Apple iPhone), Mashups, Quick, Connections, Protector, Foundations Start, Bluehouse ... The list goes on and on. It will be a blast! Utopia - indeed!
Add to that, a week of networking with possibly the best community of geeks (and I say that affectionately) on the planet, some amazing speakers, a great location, a horde of enthusiastic bloggers ...
with a bit of luck, it might even be just what I need to kick this blog back in gear.
I'm sure happy I'm not going to miss it!
I hope to meet as many of you as possible!
